Your path to success
Welcome to NHC
We are on a mission to develop a new generation of world-class influencers who bring about positive and lasting change to their world, a generation of leaders who understand and identify with global issues, and who can apply creative and critical thinking skills to proffer solutions to real-life challenges.
We believe in a culture of continuous improvement. We offer internationally recognized education curricula that develop cognitive skills, as well as dynamic and robust co-curricular programs designed to foster cooperation, compassion, and resilience. Our staff goes through various pieces of training to equip them to face the new challenges of 21st-century childcare. Our fee structure and scholarship opportunities ensure that our doors are open to students from affluent, middle-income, and underprivileged families. We maintain comfortable and well-resourced facilities in a serene and secure environment, staffed with competent and caring individuals committed to supporting students to become all they can be.
Shared Values
Our shared values of stewardship, tolerance, respect, integrity, discipline, and excellence are underpinned by a philosophy that embraces all faiths equally, encouraging sound moral principles to be upheld and human dignity to be valued. Environmental stewardship is fostered through environmental sanitation and tree-planting initiatives, and community service is advanced by the Community Development Committee (CDC). The best way to truly know us is to visit us. We invite you to come, to see, and to decide.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is an integrated British and Nigerian curriculum. The students sit the Cambridge International Checkpoints and IGCSE examination, and we provide support classes for the JAMB organised and other university entry examinations. The teaching methodology employed at the school is targeted at average to exceptional students. The academic standards maintained are high and demand rigorous involvement from the students and teachers. Minimum promotion benchmarks are set for students for promotion from one class to the next. Benchmarks are either general or individual, depending on a student’s ability.
Co-curricular
Our co-curricular program is as important as an excellent grade. Our focus is on the development of the innate talents of every child. Through club activities such as drama, Fencing, Music, Football, Basketball, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, and Drama, amongst others, our students can pursue their dreams. Our curriculum is structured to allow every child to reflect on their level and range of commitments outside the classroom and the key attributes they are gaining as a result. The program of activities promotes the acquisition of basic skills as well as the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play, self-confidence, enjoyment, a healthy lifestyle, teamwork, communal spirit, commitment, and learning to cope with competition.
